HABC Level 2 Award in Food Safety - REFRESHER - 14th Feb 2018

This course is for school catering staff and those staff who come into contact with food as part of their work and who are required by law to renew their certificate in food safety every three years.

Outline

The 4 hour REFRESHER course is delivered by a tutor from Accrington & Rossendale College in a classroom environment, including group activities.

Description

Candidates will cover the principles of safe food storage, legislation, temperature control, refrigeration, cooking, food handling, cleaning and general good hygiene practices.

Entry criteria: Candidates will have previously completed the Level 2 Award and are now required to refresh their knowledge and renew their certification. Candidates are required to bring their current certificates with them as proof of having taken the full training course.
NB: Candidates who have English as second language and require assistance with reading must state at the time of booking so that this can be arranged

Outcomes

Candidates will receive an HABC (Highfield Awarding Body of Compliance) Level 2 in Food Safety in Catering certificate upon successful completion of the training.
